IN DEVELOPMENT2026 — now

cooprueda

We don’t teach anyone to save: we back what they already do.

The thesis: people with no banking history already save in groups — the *san* — and already move cash at the corner store. Rueda is not there to educate them; it is there to give a guarantee, a record and a path to cheap credit for what they already do.

Four cycles: save, build history, use credit and move cash. The path has five levels — Seed, Root, Steady, Hill, Harvest — and what rises is time, not the amount: the limit goes from RD$15K to RD$100K and the rate drops from 1.8% to 1.2% monthly.

Point Mode turns the neighbourhood shop into a teller, with float treated as two inventories — digital balance and till —, an end-of-day reconciliation and a regulatory framing that keeps it outside the banking-agent regime.

rueda. landing page: “Your money on a wheel”, with the lifelong savings circle in your pocket, a spinning colored wheel beside RD$ coins and the badge of a 100% Dominican cooperative from RD$200, no paperwork and no guarantor.

“An account for each thing”: six savings accounts — daily, named goal, emergency fund, a shared one where the group approves withdrawals, a child’s future seeded with RD$300 and a business account — each showing its annual return.

“Your saving walks, your credit grows”: an illustrated road with the wheel rolling through the neighbourhood, the first RD$200 contribution in month 1 and the level 1 sign with a limit of up to RD$3,000.

The “Run the numbers before you ask” simulator, with no sign-up and no ID: RD$50,000 over 12 months comes to RD$4,613 a month at 1.6%, against RD$4,845 at a bank and RD$6,128 at a lender, and it flags that this amount requires the Steady level.

// PRODUCT DECISIONS
01
No bureau to get in
History is built from the inside and reported to Data-Crédito and TransUnion.
02
The circle doesn’t collapse
A guarantee fund covers whoever defaults; that is what breaks the informal *san*.
03
Time rises, not the amount
The five levels reward consistency: every on-time contribution is a month of history.
MY ROLE
