Mimo Baby Tracker is a high-fidelity iOS prototype built to support parenting a baby during the hours when nobody is thinking clearly: the small hours of the night.
It starts from a different premise than other trackers: a baby is not looked after by one person but by a team. Mother, father, grandmother and nanny take turns, and the app is built around that handover.
// THE CHALLENGE
A newborn’s information ends up scattered across several people, phone notes and the memory of whoever was awake. Sleep, feeds and diapers had to be logged in as few taps as possible, and any caregiver had to be able to pick up the thread without asking anyone.
// THE SOLUTION
I designed and prototyped an app navigated by three tabs — Today, Rhythms and Tips — with:
- 01One-tap logging of sleep, milk and diapers, with the time since the last entry always visible.
- 02Next-nap prediction based on the wake window, with a configurable reminder before it arrives.
- 03Voice logging for when your hands are full: dictate instead of tapping.
- 04Rhythms: sleep and feed charts per day, with the average checked against what is expected for the baby’s age.
- 05Stage-based tips: wake windows, daily feeds, signs of good feeding and developmental milestones.
- 06Unlimited caregivers with a role — mother, father, grandmother, nanny —, a guest mode with no account and a vaccine calendar adjusted to the country.

// RESULTS
- End-to-end navigable iOS prototype, with every section wired up.
- The baby’s history no longer depends on who was awake: it lives in one place.
- A defined freemium model: the essentials free, with prediction, reports and photo review in Mimo+.
- A design foundation ready to move into native implementation.
