Velo is a personal finance mobile app that brings expenses, budgets and savings goals into a single panel, with enough clarity to decide today.

Fewer numbers, more decisions: the app sums up what matters this week instead of dumping a full report.

// THE CHALLENGE

Personal finance apps fail for two opposite reasons: either they demand so much logging that they are abandoned within a week, or they show so many charts that they say nothing. The point had to be found where logging takes seconds and a single glance tells you how you are doing.

// THE SOLUTION

I am building a mobile app with:

01A single panel showing the state of the week at a glance.
02Expense logging in seconds, with no long forms.
03Budgets per category, warning before you overspend rather than after.
04Savings goals framed as progress, not sacrifice.
05The Dominican peso as the native currency, not as a conversion.

Savings and goals: the total across jars, progress toward the goal and automatic round-up on every purchase.

Creating a jar: name, goal, deadline and the calculation of how much to set aside monthly to get there.

// RESULTS

App in development, with the panel and expense logging working.
Zero spreadsheets: all tracking lives inside the app.
First-class local currency, with no intermediate conversions.
