- interactive experience / motion-based gamification
An interactive game built to celebrate the partnership between UbiquoTech and 42 Network. A character runs across a map and reacts in real time to the player’s physical movements, captured with Kinect.
It combines physical activity, advanced animation and gamification into an experience designed for live events and brand activations.
// THE CHALLENGE
Synchronizing real physical movement with in-game actions at low latency and smooth framerate, and making it obvious in two seconds to someone who has never seen a Kinect — because at a live event no tutorial survives.
// THE SOLUTION
I designed and built an interactive experience featuring:
- 01An auto-running character progressing through the map.
- 02Physical jump detection via Kinect, mirrored in-game in real time.
- 03Dynamic obstacles requiring physical interaction.
- 04Interactive questions answered with hand movements.
- 05Three environments that switch at specific milestones.
- 06Smooth animations and transitions powered by GSAP.
// RESULTS
- Physical-digital experience used at real events.
- High audience engagement and participation.
- Clean Kinect-to-web integration.
- Memorable, differentiating brand activation.
